WEDDINGS IN ZURICH
Wedding Photographer in Zurich — your day, told honestly
Zurich is my home base — the city where I know which lane of the old town stays quiet on a Saturday, when the light over the lake turns gold, and how a civil ceremony at the Stadthaus really flows. I photograph weddings as they happen: honest moments over staged poses, with one short couple session at the best light of the day. Everything, from the first call to the final gallery, runs in English.

Where Zurich shines on camera
- Stadthaus & Limmat quay — right after your civil ceremony: river, Fraumünster spires and old town in one frame.
- Lindenhof — the quiet terrace above the rooftops, five minutes from the Stadthaus.
- Lake promenade & Quaibrücke — on clear days with snow-capped Alps across the water.
- Uetliberg — Zurich's own mountain for sunset portraits above the city.
- Niederdorf lanes — cobblestones, cafés and lively, urban frames.
- Rieter and Belvoir parks — green calm for classic, elegant portraits.
Many international couples marry at Zurich's civil registry in the Stadthaus, a beautiful building right on the river. The photo side is simple: we meet before your slot for arrival pictures, I cover the ceremony discreetly and without flash, and afterwards the quay outside is made for congratulations and confetti. Then we steal thirty minutes for portraits on the Lindenhof before your apéro.
Photo rules inside the ceremony room can vary — I confirm the current guidelines with the registry before your date, so nothing surprises us.

A sample Zurich wedding timeline
- Morning — getting ready at your hotel; quiet, intimate frames.
- Midday — ceremony, civil or church.
- Afternoon — congratulations, group photos, lakeside apéro.
- Golden hour — the couple session: Lindenhof, lake or Uetliberg.
- Evening — dinner, speeches and the dance floor, covered as reportage.
This is one possible shape — we plan yours together, around your venue and the light.

Planning from abroad
You plan the celebration; I add what you cannot Google: honest advice on venues and timing, a photo schedule built around Swiss light, and clear communication in English throughout. Video call first, simple contract, and I am happy to coordinate directly with your planner or venue.

FAQ — Wedding Photographer Zurich
Does everything run in English?
Yes — calls, planning, contract and gallery. At the wedding I happily switch between English and German for your guests.
Can you recommend venues?
I can tell you honestly which places photograph beautifully and what to watch for; for full planning I can point you to planners I have worked alongside.
What is the best season?
May to September for lake evenings, October for golden old-town light, winter for quiet, moody frames. There is no bad season — only different pictures.
How far in advance should we book?
For summer Saturdays, 9–12 months is realistic. Weekday civil ceremonies are often possible on shorter notice.
Do you photograph on the lake boats?
Yes — apéros and parties afloat are a Zurich classic, and I know how to work the light and the wind on deck.
What if it rains?
The old town's arcades and doorways become our studio, and rain mood over the lake is more dramatic than sunshine. A plan B is always part of my preparation.
